The
Greater Houston Area Mobile Music Association (GHAMMA) is an organization of DJs
whose purpose is to promote and maintain a high standard of quality in
performance for Disc Jockey entertainment. The association was formed in 1993
and now has more than forty members. Monthly meetings are designed to assist and
educate its members in improving their performances and marketing practices.
DJs applying for membership must submit references for check and review by a panel of current members. In addition, equipment must be of professional quality and members must play from a legal music library.
One of the most important benefits of being a member of GHAMMA is that it gives the DJ businessman/woman a group of top-notch professionals to call on in the event of personal illness or an emergency. It is literally a blanket of protection for our customers.
Cecil has served as a member of the GHAMMA Executive Board for four years and was President of the organization in 1996.
